Skyline Queenstown has appointed Wayne Rose its new general manager.
Rose has been the assistant general manager at the operation for the past five years.
Skyline Queenstown said Rose brought with him a wealth of knowledge of the business and the industry.
“It is a very exciting time to take up the leadership of the Skyline Queenstown business, we continue to experience strong growth, and plans for the development of the complex to set the business up for the future are set to accelerate,” said Rose.
The company had started a $100m redevelopment, which would include a new 10-seat gondola and complex expansion.
“What really excites me though, is continuing to realise the full potential of the fantastic team we have here at Skyline Queenstown, and continuing to deliver world-class leisure experiences for each and every one of our guests,” said Rose.
In November, the company celebrated its 50th anniversary. Its gondola has been ridden 17 million times since launching with 52% of all visitors to Queenstown taking the trip.
