Marketer Anne Newman has taken the helm of the Christchurch Adventure Park which re-opened this week after the Port Hills fire saw it closed for 10 months.
Newman has become general manager of the attraction that was previously a client of her marketing business, Volom. She was public relations and communications director for the operation.
Newman has extensive international marketing experience having worked in marketing roles for companies in London, Europe, Middle East, USA and South Africa.
Her roster of New Zealand clients through Volom includes tourism industry businesses NZSki and Ultimate Hikes.
The Christchurch Adventure Park officially opened on 16th December 2016 with New Zealand’s longest chairlift at 1.8km long and New Zealand’s longest and highest zipline.
The attraction was in the process of finding a general manager before the Port Hills fire struck on February 13th forcing it to close temporarily.
In the eight short weeks of operation over 50,000 visitors went through the doors with the café serving over 3 tonnes of fries and in two weeks sold 35 kegs of beer.
