PRESS RELEASE: Milford Sound Scenic Flights

Milford Sound Scenic Flights has added a 3rd Cessna Grand Caravan to its already impressive fleet of planes which currently comprises three GA8 Airvans, two Cessna Grand Caravans and three BN Islanders.

The Cessna Grand Caravan is powered by a turboprop engine which is quiet, smooth and extremely reliable. The turboprop engine being the same technology as used on commuter aircraft such as Air New Zealand’s ATR. The Cessna Caravans have a proven heritage with thousands of this design flying the world over, from the Poles to desert environments and are unmatched for versatility.

The Cessna Grand Caravan offers seating for 13 passengers in comfortable leather seats, all offering window seats providing excellent scenic viewing. Passenger commentary is piped through overhead speakers which eliminates the need for headphones.

Operations Manager, Andy Pye, says “The addition of the Cessna Grand Caravan and its ability for all passengers to have window seats is fantastic. This will really enhance the passenger experience on our spectacular scenic flights”.

Geoff McDonald, CEO at Skyline Enterprises, says “Our Milford businesses are enjoying a sustained period of strong growth. The fleet expansion demonstrates our confidence in Milford as a world-class tourism destination and our commitment to providing our customers with a level of service consistent with Milford’s iconic reputation.”
