Ngāi Tahu Tourism has appointed Emma Gardiner its new general manager of Experience Operations.
Gardiner will start in December and will be based in Christchurch. She is currently general manager of Thrifty Cars Rentals and responsible for managing more than 140 staff across 27 locations.
In her new role, she will provide executive leadership to Ngāi Tahu Tourism-owned businesses Rainbow Springs, Agrodome, Franz Josef Glacier Guides & Hot Pools, and Guided Walks New Zealand.
Gardiner said she was looking forward to the challenge of managing the group of tourism businesses.
“New Zealanders and international visitors alike have high expectations of Ngāi Tahu Tourism experiences, and I intend to work with our businesses to build and enhance the great service they are already delivering,” she said.
