New Zealand’s cruise industry body has a new board, a new brand and a new name following its AGM in Auckland this week.
The newly-named New Zealand Cruise Association appointed three new members to its board including general manager of Destination Marlborough Jacqui Lloyd, Bruce Lochhead of Port of Napier and Douglas Colaco of ISS-McKay.
Craig Harris of ISS-McKay, Ports of Auckland’s Leigh Robins and Ian McNabb of Port Marlborough leave the board.
Chair Debbie Summers of ID New Zealand, deputy chair Karen Thompson-Smith of ATEED, Sean Marsh of Te Puia, Tony Petrie of Renaissance Tours, Port of Otago’s Peter Brown and Tansy Tompkins of Tourism New Zealand are retained.
Steve Hanrahan of Tourism Industry Aotearoa is invited to attend board meetings.
The association’s new branding is tagged with the Māori proverb ‘He Waka Eke Noa’, which translates as ‘a canoe which we are all in with no exception’.
The new branding will be rolled out onto a revamped cruise industry website, which is expected to go live later this year.
